We´ve been working hard this week to launch a new functionality for the Wimob user application that we´re all very excited about - drag and drop. Wimob now allows you to take any file (that is compatible with Wimob) from your desktop and simply drag it into the application so it´s ready to download to your mobile phone. Give it a try!!
Ever wanted to download your Facebook photos to your mobile phone? Well now you can. And it´s easy. We have just launched the Wimob Facebook Application that makes all of your Facebook photos portable with a simple click of a button. Oh, and as always with Wimob - it´s completely free!
Follow these simple steps to get started:
1. Download and install the Wimob Application, which serves as the go-between from Facebook photo albums to mobile phones.
2. Specify your mobile phone model and type to the application settings (Wimob is compatible with more than 1000 mobile devices).
3. Get the Facebook application*

The Wimob team has been working relentlessly for the past couple months on the Wimob User Application and Publisher Suite to add more functionality, improve usability, and include some really great features. As a result of this hard work, we are happy to release the 2.0 version of both of these products.

The Publisher Suite has also been completely revamped to provide a much more robust platform with a lot of new functionalities to make it easy to create Wimob content for your website.

Earlier this summer, we attended the mobile 2.0 event here in Barcelona (actually, we also presented) and came across an interesting visual that was presented by Rudy De Waele we thought was worth sharing. Everyone has probably come across Kosmar´s web 2.0 tag cloud at some point in time, but now thanks to Heike Scholz there is a mobile 2.0 tag cloud that encapsulates a lot of important components of the mobile ecosystem.
Bitfilm Festival is a film festival in Germany that celebrates and showcases films that are created with digital technology. This year, Bitfilm 08 featured a new mobile category to show films and series that were specifically designed for mobile devices and Wimob was part of the action.
Appropriately, the mobile films utilized Wimob to help provide more viral exposure and enable users to download and preview the films on their mobile phones.
